Don't think it's possible to do an amazing bridal session in your own backyard? Emily and her friend spent forever trying to find a great place for her bridals, and then they realized that the friend's own backyard would be perfect! I do admit that this backyard is cooler than most, but it's fun to say that we did a bridal session in a backyard.
Yesterday was my first anniversary with the love of my life. We spent two nights at his parent's cabin. We had a really fun time and it was nice to get away for a bit. We decided to take some first anniversary 'wedding' pictures of ourselves using a tripod. Blake decided to get me a present, and it was a remote shutter release for my camera so that we could take pictures of ourselves much easier. Romantic, I know. But I was pretty happy about it. So we got all done up and went out for pictures and I'm pretty happy with what we got. I cannot believe it has been a year already. Every day has been full of joy and I am so glad that Blake is mine. I can only hope that the wedding couples I have been, and will be, privileged to photograph will be as happy as us. I'll show more later, but here's one now.
One beautiful year over, countless more to go. I love you beba, with all of my heart. <3
I just love this family. I really do. They're a great-looking bunch, the kids are extremely well-behaved, and they wanted to support me by offering to bring me to Seattle to photograph them, and even arranged the other sessions for me. Thank you so much Jill! I adore their littlest one, she is just a complete doll. Their other girl is turning into a beautiful young lady and the boys are just so handsome! Their dog was amazingly well-behaved too. I don't know what their secret is, but I'd sure like to know it for when I have a family ;)
Ok, it's time for cutesy hour with their little girl. :)
And what I'm pretty sure is the cutest picture I have ever taken in my life...
This wedding happened clear back in June, so it's about time I posted it. This was probably the most beautiful wedding I have ever been to. The ceremony was held at a church in Park City, and the reception took place at La Caille. Carissa's bouquet was amazing and all the decorations were stunning. I am so grateful to Scott Jarvie and David Terry who let me second shoot with them. (Yes, Carissa and Jacob had TWO superstar photographers hired for their wedding!) Another fun tidbit is that Carissa interned with Scott a little while before I did, so yep, she's a photographer too! I'm going to try to keep this post as short as possible, but there's going to be alot because of the sheer amazingness of this wedding.
The first thing we did was a First Look. I absolutely love First Looks. I wish I would have known about them when I was getting married. It's such a special moment for the bride and groom, and we also got plenty of time to take beautiful pictures of both of them together before their ceremony.
I really want the lens I borowed from Scott to take this next picture.
And the following is definitely my favorite bouquet shot I have ever taken.
Being a second shooter you often get to take photos from unique angles you wouldn't have been able to as the first shooter.
Thanks for visiting Campbell Photography's blog! Feel free to take some time to look through the pictures and leave some comments. I love hearing feedback on my work!
