These two are just such wonderful people. They are kind, thoughtful, nonjudgmental, and such a good match. Their ceremony was lovely and was followed by good times at the reception.

Brooke's bridals
Brooke is such a fun girl. She just loved being in front of the camera and wasn't afraid to show her stuff. And she had the coolest props too! A big thanks to Andrea Hanks for bringing Brooke along and letting us shoot along with her.
This next one is one of my favorite pictures I've ever taken. My brother said it looked Tim Burton-ish. Surreal, bright colors... awesome.

A little preview of our trip
It has been my life-long dream to go to Hawaii. When I got married it seemed like the perfect time to go. So we made our plans, but the day before the wedding our plans fell through. It was sad, but we decided that we would take a short trip to a family cabin in Colorado for our honeymoon and go to Hawaii later. The end of this school year was the perfect time to go, and so we did. And we had so much fun! It was everything that I hoped it'd be. Of course not everything went perfectly, but you can't expect anything to ever go 100% right. We had such a great time and I'm so glad we were able to go on this vacation. To top it off, my husband had the idea to bring my wedding dress and take pictures on the beach. What a great idea! Here's just one picture as a preview of what's to come: lots more 'bridals' and other pictures from Hawaii as well!

Liz
So a few posts back I said I had exciting news in relation to my photography. Well I am finally going to tell you about it. Have you heard of Jarvie Digital? Well, Scott Jarvie is a really great wedding photographer in the area and he has taken me (and a few other photographers) under his wing this summer to learn all we can from him. Under 'info' and then 'photographers' you'll find me listed as a present student. Right now there is a link back to this blog, but soon I should have a link to my official associate portfolio which can be found here.
So what does this mean for you? First, I'll be learning enormous amounts in a short time that would normally take me years to learn on my own. I'll get alot more experience second-shooting weddings and assisting on photoshoots and much more practice with all levels of photography. Also, you have the option to hire me through JarvieDigital's associate program instead of straight through me. The benefit? The man Scott Jarvie himself will work on some of your pictures and make sure they're absolutely perfect before they are delivered to you. I will also have more equipment at my disposal and a team of photographers supporting me each step of the way. I will still be doing my own thing as well, and I am growing as a photographer all the time. So basically you can have Campbell Photography two ways!
I've only been with Jarvie for a month so far, but already I've seen huge progress. I can't wait to see what these next few months have in store.
Now onto Liz. She modeled for us as part of a photoshoot/workshop that Jarvie put on for us. We'll be having alot of these, and man are they fun and I learn so much from them. Liz was such a great model and I'm sure we'll be seeing her around again (she's a photographer too!)

Jennifer's bridals
Jennifer and Mark were married today! I just got home from shooting their wedding and now I get to put up her bridals. I had to be very careful not to ruin the surprise for Mark when he saw her in her dress for the first time.
When we took her bridals we had a last-minute location switch but it turned out great. Jennifer is such a fun girl, and I enjoyed meeting her mother before the big day as well. :)
The one below reminds me of those old black and white detective movies for some reason. You know the ones with the cigar-smoking detective helping out the 'dame' with a problem. I don't know why, it just does... haha
And now me and my husband are off to our trip! Remember I might not have phone and/or email contact, but I'll get in touch with you as soon as I'm home. See you all in a week and a half!
